Unfortunately there is no law in the UK which enables you to return (either as a refund or exchange) for stuff bought IN-STORE if you change your mind.
You will have to comply with the terms CPW makes themselves; eg only on O2 or Voda etc.
You are however covered by DSR if you buy online or over the phone. 7 days from receipt usually.

There is an Australian radio presenter in Birmingham named Ed Doolan who has for years been dealing with consumer complaints and problems. If you ring his show on Radio WM trust me he will sort you out. I have listened to him online before though im not in the West Midlands. But he knows every rule and law. He gets his team to get on the phone to companies and has sorted many problems. Worth a try.

CPW don't have to take it back if they don't want to. There is no law that says any high street shop has to accept a return because you changed your mind unless it was missold.

Yes but it says in their brochure if you are not happy with your handset or its faulty we will be happy to change it for you within 14 days once only. If it says that they should honour it.

True, if the catalogue says it then they should honour it. Depends on the network though that it was purchased on judging by your earlier post.

What is also annoying is that contract customers get more choice when it comes to returning handsets. Its wrong. Why should pay as you go be penalised. But yes it does depend which network.

If you can only take the phone back if it is faulty, make it faulty
