Guys,

You don't have to press any keys. You just put a stylus on one of the pictures and while keeping this on screen just DRAG a stylus around and mark what you want.
But, still in this case all the "Beam" options are greyed out!

The question, is being able to multi-select non-contiguous files. This apparently can only be done with the default WM on-screen keyboard or third party software.

I think AEKmap will allow us to remap one of the keys on the slide out keyboard to 'Ctrl'. The trial version does not allow you to program that functionality though, so I'm not sure if it will really work.

YES, you are correct - the beam option is not available so isnt the send. What a crap phone. Even my P990 can do a multiple bluetooth, send, etc.

By the way, anybody knows how to make the phone go connect automatically First to WiFi, then to Operator Data? Like the P990 has the Group accounts where is first tries to connect via WiFi and then goes to Data, Dialup or whatever.

And also, somebody knows how to make the X1 Disconnect from Data automatically after you close the brower? Like my P990.... what can I say!

Thanks

Okay, update to the multiselect...

I have now Resco Explorer installed and CAN INDEED multiselect AND Bluetooth multiple files.

So, Resco Explorer is the way to go....! Damn SE makes us always buy additional third party software to even 'keep' our abilities we had with previous phones (in my case the P990i).

At least and as long as we can find those its liveable. But we should not tolerate that SE gives us LESS for MORE... heck, we don't even have voice control unless we intall Voice Command.

And we should not car if this is due to "Operating Systems". I paid 900$ for the P990i when it came out.... I paid now 900$ when the X1 came out. And with the last one, many of us even get some nasty CRACKS for free with it.

I guess most of us 'just fall again and again' for SE devices!

In this case it is not SonyEricsson that makes you buy additional software, it is Microsoft.

well, SE could have added extra value so that the X1 offered more than the base WM in order that previous SE smartphone owners found some familiarity when moving to WM, so SE can take some of the blame...

Yes, and as far as I remember I paid the 900$ directly to SE, not in my memory paying Microsoft anything. SE is obviously responsible what they put in their product.

So, anybody found a way to automatically have the phone FIRST select WiFi before it connects automatically to Mobile Data?

All WM phones I have ever had will always choose wifi over a network connection automatically.

I only buy unbranded phones and wonder if yours is branded in some way that makes it choose the network over wifi?

to be honest, when I first used the P990 (and later the P1), it was alien to me having to prioritise wifi over network connection as I had never had to do that before on WM
