my wife decided the cheaper the better so I got her he Advent 4211 (MSI Wind clone) for £199. I also bought a 1gb upgrade for £9 so for £208 she has a 10" netbook with 2gb ram. I'll also get her a 9 cell battery for £35 making the total cost £245 which is about NZ$695 and she's very happy with that

Sounds like you got yourself a pretty good deal. Good stuff.
Haven't even seen the Advent brand in NZ. Might have to look it up!

You won't find it outside the UK, it's a PC World own-brand (big nationwide computer store) and as said previously, their netbooks are rebadged MSI Wind's

I normally steer well clear of Advent and other PCworld/Dixons branded products but as this is definitly a rebadge only and an excellent price for the fairly limited use it will get from my wife, I can't complain
was tempted by the other suggestions in this thread but really, for 50% more cash, you're getting pretty much the same spec and just a better name but she really doesn't need that, though if it was for me, I'd have probably gone with the NC10
