i'm sure a paypal/bank statement should do for the proof of purchase for the phone

yup it will but it shows i bought the phone for £320 and i want to get myself a HTC Touch so the more the better

Just a general pro-tip, never send your original proof of purchase when you need to send items for repair, send a copy, you should also make a copy for your own account of course. I would claim back the 320 as that's easy for you to proof. The other 80 quid you can get in different ways; saving up, not buying beer for a few weeks, etc, etc

dad made me try the 400 so that'll be my excuse

i would save but interest rates being 0.5% i'd be saving a while
