But here's my problems with the keyboard off, maybe u can help me:
1) Can't figure out how to use speaker phone....easy to just open keypad.
2) Can't drive and use my P800 with it off.
3) I don't like using the stylus to do everything ALL THE TIME.
4) It actually looks like a phone and not a pda with it on...
That's just my $.02 NE WAY TO PREVENT THE KEYPAD FROM BREAKING THE SCREEN?

I think the keypad is just great! It also keeps a distance between my cheek and the screen. I hate greasy screens. I can't imagine how greasy it would be without it...
How to turn speakerphone on? Just press the right menu-key and select 'handsfree'.

hi again, sorry, where is the right menu that u select to use handsfree? in the manual it says to press the volume button and click speakerphone. But that is really hard to do without a stylus.

I don't have the p800 and may be very wrong here. but on my t68i the volume button on the phone is indeed refered to in the manual as a volume button....(uhhh

anyway. I was thinking this perhaps is the case with the p800 to?(refering to the jog dial)

well it shows a picture of a speaker. this does indeed bring up the option for handsfree mode, but i can't hit the speaker at the bottom of the screen without a stylus because it is too small. there has to be a better way to quickly switch to speaker phone without a keypad on to open up.

The keypad bends in?? how do you manage that? it is very hard plastic, you have to put quite an amount of pressure on it if it should bend! and the screen is also protected by the two "pointy things" at each corner of the keypad which keeps it just a litle bit above the screen.
But I must say I like the phone best without the keypad, but I go for keypad on when driving or going out drinking, and keypad off whenever else.

I keep the keypad on(although open most of the time). I like the fact that it turns from a phone to a PDA in one quick hand movement...=) Also I find it good for protection from scratches/dust.

I use it off for a couple of reasons:
It is difficult to operate the pda functions with it on
It is not very nice looking
It is very seldom you need to dial a number (so using the virtual keyboard is no prob) because you have all phonenumbers you need in the phonebook!
