Thanks. Well i'm still keeping my fingers crossed and hoping for the best, but knowing that my phone was only 2.5 months old when this incident happened that makes me still feel gutted. 1 year and 9.5 months of manufacture warranty voided in a matter of minutes. However, it now gives me a chance to unlock the phone and also if i want to unbrand it, as there is no excuse to void the warranty now.
Both speakers are fine as i can hear the caller and vice vera. I've have dried the battery out when i was doing the phone but how would i check the temperature as the phone? It did a bit warm during calls even before this incident happened so i guess it still normal?
Well i guess i can only look onwards now and take this as an exprience. Looks like my phone will be sleeping in a bed of cat litter tonight lol!

Cat litter absorbs water so if there is any remaining in the phone, hopefully it will help to draw the moister out. It shouldn't as i'll wrap imy phone in a kitchen towel and place it on top of the cat litter.
Thanks, but i'm not sure if i ready to unbrand it yet due to some risks involved so unlocking it will fine for now which can be easily done by someone i know in a computer fair who also unlocked my other phones.

I have a C510, I not sure how much they will charge to unlock it in the computer fair and i would need to find a place around where i live that does de-branding but again i would not know the price of that either.
It's ok, as it's good to keep the discussion on this thread going.
It looks like the cat litter trick is working as the screen does look much better than yesterday, it a bit more brighter and less dark patches and lines than before. I think it would still need a few more days to dry out completely hopefully with no permanent damage done to the LCD screen. I will keep using the phone during the day but do the cat litter at night.
Also i've now tested the radio and that also works ok.

nice to hear that...
whatever they charge you, it will be certainly greater than ''free''
the tools available on the net give you free debraning and free flashing....
you can use that...
its easy, i was scared shit the first time, cause the phone was a gift from mom, my k800, branded to vodafone, and i debranded it while it was still in warranty...
but it was a piece of cake..
i just had to follow instructions and that was it...
as easy as plug the cable, now remove cable, reinsert battery and again plug the cable...
a two or three times over and it was done...
i'd suggest you give it a try...
definately would save you 20£[min]
and you can buy a gift for your boyfriend[if you'd like to, or there's nothing like splurging it on yourself!

I know a special cable and software would be needed to able to flash the phone. If you know any good websites on the internet them i'll have a look at them and take it from there.
London is indeed sunny and very warm at the moment.

No need for any other cables than the one that came with your phone
It can all be done free, unlocking and debranding. Or if you're hesitant you can go to the phoneshop on the high street and get both done for a fiver or so.

I thought that the DCU-65 cable can only be used to transfer data, access the phone's contact details, item and back it up, and update the phone's software via the Sony Ericsson update service on the PC.
I am very hesistant to modify the phone's firmware in any way like unlocking, updating/flashing or de-branding it. So i would not dare to try it myself as i would worried that i would mess up or 'brick' the phone plus i know some software modification can also void the manufacture warranty through that does not apply to my phone now.
I've used the service menu to check the phones service and the main display, LED/illumination, keyboard, speaker, earphone, microphone, vibrator, camera, video call camera, memory stick, real time clock, total call time and security all works ok after 2 days since being water logged.
