I remember by W910i which is now my brother's did it. So does my current C902. It bothered me more with the W910i though cause I think it was worse back then.

Woah i never noticed it until reading this topic,took my K850 outa its box and listened, it only happens when pausing on my K850, when skipping it has that freakin constant hiss that i hate. The crackling also seems to depend on the track, on some its very noticeable on some not so much. A bit offtopic but do you also get a sort of pop sound when exiting the music player or after the last song in a playlist is finished?

@GUCCI
Yeah, on my C702. Haven't noticed it though on my C905.

I don't thinks so, maybe you wanted to say because of LOW quality music. Since I convert my FLAC files to the highest quality MP3, no creaks on my C902...

I dont have many complaints of quality but the noise I heard this discussed sometime back & I am sure it was an issue with SE but why no change? What really causes it?

Quite possibly. 90% of the songs in my M2 (8GB) are of 320KBPS and I have never noticed this. In fact, the lowest bitrate I have is 192 KBPS. No crackle, no pop. Ever.

Could it be lower quality bit rate that does it then?

No,is in driver.
Low quality mp3 will give you poor sound and background hiss.(128kbps with fraunhoffer codec is the minimum acceptable bitrate.320kbps,if you have space,is the best and 192kbps the normal)
