Such complex solutions solved by gsm sim cards....

On your old phone, copy contacts to sim
Insert sim into satio
Retrieve contacts
???
Profit

(sorry, I just had to add that last bit )

All well and good in theory, BUT seriously flawed! if you use Outlook a or any other PIM chances are you will have multiple numbers email addresses work and home postal address's for each contact and SIM cards do not support that! so this solution will probably not work.

My advice? back the phone to Vodafraud, we saw all this kind of nonsense with the P990's it is clear have learned little from their past mistakes.

To fix sound setting I suggest you try this it is S60v5 afterall so I doubt it is much different to my Nokia 5800 go to settings > personal > Profiles > General > Personalise

Interestingly the Satio review summary on Techrader reads like this:

Satio
The Sony Ericsson Satio review
Price at launch
£514.99 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! taking the P**s or what!
--------------------------------------------
For
Great camera
Good range of media options
Nice chassis
Clear and simple RSS reader
--------------------------------------------
Against
Poor battery life
No 3.5mm jack
Slightly unresponsive touchscreen
Internet browser not powerful
OS is laggy at times
--------------------------------------------
so basically Satio does all the important things badly and all the froth well! Little wonder TechRadar moved straight on to say they hope the Android offering offers something better!
Go buy a Nokia 5800 they do 90% of what the Satio claims to do, but do it well! and they cost about 1/3 of what a Satio does.

All you really need to do man is get used to S60. And I thought Symbian can't link up with media go? OR can it?

not to mention the fact that it doesn't have an EQ... (at least i didnt see one..) Can you confirm that it has or not?
P.S. When i saw the price in RON (romanian lei) i almost hit the floor... WTF happened SE? seems like we pay brand now, no more quality... sh!t... and anio too... for a "not so smart phone" it is very expensive. Seems like this phone wont be a hit at all. (only people with big bucks can buy it, so it's out of the question to be a best seller). ...
So, is there an Equalizer or not?

Over here both satio and aino are at least 450-500. That's very cheap considering how a year ago C905 was released for 520 and that its half the phone the Aino is.

Right guys,

I followed the simple steps of the SE Sync website and was able to link up both my W960i and Satio, and move all the contacts over in one go.

As mentioned, I've worked out the volume settings.

Also, not long after my OP, the Satio connected to the PC suite via Bluetooth without losing the connection.

I tried to use the contacts backup file from the W960 and upload it to the Satio but now I realise Symbian isn't compatible with the original SE software, then it won't match up.

I used the Sony Ericsson PC suite without any issues to transfer contacts, notes etc.

Another way to go is to employ an over the air contacts back up service from the network provider. That should certainly work

price here in euro is 740... maybe thats because it's new and unbranded.

Unless you really need a 12mp Camera which if you do go buy a proper camera Go get a nokia 5800 it actually does well, all the things the Satio does at 1/3 the price and it works, the SW is S60v5 almost identical to the Satio.

ps it has headphone jack and a decent eq that is better than the one stuck onto the W960!
