I have not experienced any purple fringing on photos taken with my w995. It`s an exellent phone when it comes to build quality, size and weight. 3,5 mm jack and dedicated music buttons makes it the perfect music-phone
what do you think of the video camera?

Hi I am Mary.
I would like to ask that some of the Handset of the different brands like Sony Ericsson or Nokia have some problems with connecting GPRS. I do not know why does it happens. Is there a problem with the handsets or with service provider. I want better way to get all latest handset GPRS, Wi-fi configuration settings. Is there any site to find it.

The video camera is ok to me at least (not like on my Satio tho`). I seldom use it but I think my recorded files fits the screen adequately

Aino is not large at all! Ive seen it in person, the black colour you wouldnt notice hardly. W995 is a slider too so its not going to be much smaller or any less noticable. Both are great looking phones, if you dont want to be noticed your going to have a very difficult time hiding either of them!
W995 video is not good. Its basically QVGA with abit of width. If you want decent video recording there is no option but Aino (out of these two anyway).

I have both and the W995's purple fringing is pretty bad, compared to the Aino's. On the plus side, you have complete adjustable camera options in the 995... Overall speed & stability of the phone OS has to go to the W995 tho. Buttons & keypad feel better on the W995 too...

purple fringing is fate of the w995.. so no w995 is exceptional.. probably some of the people didn't notice it..
and member mano82 had w995 and now he switched to Aino. he may be the rite person to tell about his experience...
generally i heard that the Aino picture quality is excellent and its one of the best 8Mpx camera. but lacks EV and scene modes in settings i guess. but who knows it may be added with modded driver or over firmware updates...
w995 screen is 240x320 with 2.6" screen. so when i'm on camera i see most of the time pixelated images.. like small dots.. which i never seen on any SE device. and its not my device falut i sure abot this. also screen is on lil yellowish side as most of the A2 phones do.
but aino has some better resolution.. with bigger screen.. so people using aino may explain abt this.

I've been using W995 for a month now the one of the worst part of the phone design is the placement of Call End, and Call buttons. They are located so far to the end of the phone that it hurts fingers to reach them. I think the right design would be to make them easily reachable to thumb like it is on most rouch screen phones.
I checked out Aino yesterday and love the screen and build quality but couldn't test the touch screen functionality as the Sony Store put a security hardware on it with slider open and the Media screen for Touch interface won't show up unless you close the slider
. But, I really liked the phone and want to get it but with so many Windows Mobile 6.5 phones, Andriod phones, it's hard to justify spending $600 on Aino except to feel unique among friends.

Closed they have the same size. Opened is Aino a bit taller. 1cm. You can close the slider when you make a call.
