If Satio and Aino are such a successful devices, I can't imagine what will happen when X2 and X10 join to the party.

Sony Ericsson Gains Contract Share Following Release of Satio and Aino
The launch of Sony Ericsson’s Satio handset has seen the manufacturer’s contract share grow from 17% to 25% in recent weeks.
Sources close to the manufacturer said that overall share, which had fallen dramatically over recent months, had also increased from 15% to 19%.
In October, Mobile reported Sony Ericsson’s share had fallen from around 21% to 15% over the course of 2009.
The news coincided with the release of the Satio (pictured) on 8 October and the Aino, which was launched the following week.
Sources at Sony Ericsson had said the manufacturer was placing its hopes on the Satio to claw back share after a slow first six months in 2009, with only one significant release, the W995.
Meh, doesnt really mean anything, the C905 pushed sony ericssons positon in the UK to number 1 and look how that year turned out. SE has always had a stronghold in the UK so it comes as no suprise, if it was in the whole of europe or asia etc it would be good.
True, but on the other hand, if the phones sell good in the UK, that meens they are in some way populair and will sell relatively well in other countrys, too. And there are some other European markets where SE has a stronghold

Good going SE, only problem is, SE phones typically over priced in my country relative to others, so doubt SE will do good here anytime soon...well phones are generally over priced here, but that's another issue for another day.
I bet a significant amount of phones bought from the UK are shipped out...

If that is the case then Sony Ericsson should be selling a lot more in Germany because Sony Ericsson phones are more common in Germany.
And big grats Sony Ericsson, I can't imagine this being a good news for certain people from MR.com who hate Sony Ericsson with whole their heart, whatever that is good for?.

There was a lot riding on Satio and Aino so it's good to learn that they're flying off the shelves. The appetite for SE phones is still there, they just need to get the phones out quick enough.

The appetite for SE has always been there, however their reliability in recent years has destroyed them. IMO
Hopefully they've improved their QA and they continue to increase market share.

They do tend to come out with winning and market beating handsets every now and again but something happened in the last year or two regarding their quality control which has let them down - not that most manufacturers haven't had their fair share of issues.
I'm not sure if it's who they outsource their manufacturing to or what, but hopefully it's been turned around for 2010.
Satio is good and solid - no reports of design issues as far as I can see. Aino seems to be a trouble free design also.
Good show and long may it carry on.

This kind of thread was posted over at mobile-review.com and the first one to reply to this was the greatest SE hater of them all
.
Eventually Sony Ericsson learn from their mistakes by releasing phones with defective parts and unstable software.
When I buy the X10 I expect it to be rock solid.

Me too.
There is not much to go wrong with the X10 really, no wobbly slider, no camera cover, no funny touch buttons - what could possibly go wrong (SE's famous last words
).
