@fatreg... and then some...

you have stereoscopic glasses like the ones that Avatar and cinemas use... made by Real3D or something like that...

Then u have shutter type glasses which are a lot bigger as they open and shut each side hundreds of times a second to give the 3D effect...

Anyways looks like the ones u use in the cinema are lkely to be used for home 3D as Sony, LG and panasonic have licensed the tech already for their tvs

I am yet to see Avatar, the last 3D thing I seen was U23D at the Imax in Birmingham. It was a 3D concert & my god it blew my head off. Felt like I was on stage or in the crowd amazing

You've gotta wonder though.

If you need the glasses to get the 3D effect, I can't really see people wearing the glasses to watch tv.

Also what about those people who wear glasses or are short of sight? Do the 3D glasses fit over all types of glasses comfortably?

These are all things that need to be addressed & answered before 3D-TV can really take off for the masses imho.

The ones you get in the cinema fit over your own glasses. Big advantage of 3D is that when it gets scary, you take them off for a while
