As long as theres Menu, Camera, volume and keylock buttons im happy
Personaly i couldn't careless for a physical keypad/board ,as i can switch between Landscape QWERTY, Portrait QWERTY, and Multi-Tap keyboards depending on what im doing, and not be stuck with just one.
I doubt non-touch phones will die out, but i think touch phones will rule in the mid to high ends due to them having larger screens, and being packed with features without being too big or heavy eg. Nokia 5800, iPhone3G, Samsung Jét, Nokia X6, LG whatever lol, BB Storm2 etc. . .

Composing a message on the Samsung Jet one handed is so easy. Samsung have made the on screen keys very big so its easy in fact i am typing this one handed now on a bus. I don't use the landscape keyboard i don't like them.

All of the posts ive posted here since getting my 5800 are written on it,either using Multi tap like right now and most of the time or using Landscape QWERTY.
Going back to a physical keypad feels weird, as typing on a touchscreen is so smooth and just requires lite touchs.

Yeah i found typing on the w995 very clunky compared to my smooth touch screen plus my Samsung Jet is fast

Well, my

G502's keypad we're the softest one that i've touch among the

's that i've touched..
I'm a touchscreen lover.. But i don't want buttons to be extinct.. Even if the touchscreen technologies will be perfected in the years to come..

i have to agree that the keypad buttons will not be extinct. but after using a touchscreen phone for a couple of months now, typing out messages on a keypad now needs more effort for me since i have been used to the light touches on an onscreen half-qwerty keyboard.
