I need something that can convert from avi really.

I've just tried a trial of Nidesoft Video Converter which has actually done a pretty good job. I doesn't have an X10 profile but selecting Xperia X1 and setting the resolution to 800x480 is the best result I've had so far.

Video conversion is one of the biggest ball aches in the whole digital world, why can't someone just make ONE good piece of software

Just use "SUPER". Its free and its the best encoder around. It even lets you set up your own resolution if you don't like the ones available for you.

Here you go. Enjoy!!!

I hope this helps.

I'd prefer Any Video Converter or Any DVD Converter.

You can try this program Xmedia Recode, it has a predefine profile for Xperia and other mobile phones ,or you can create a "Custom" one

The program is freeware !!! Enjoy

The video formats that Xperia X10 supports are MPEG 4 and H.264.

If you would like to put various video files onto this phone, you have to transcode them to Xperia X10 playable video formats. My phone is iPhone 4 and I always use Aunsoft Video Converter for Mac to convert video files to MPEG 4 and H.264 for my phone. And its phone profile works fine.

And I think it will help you out.

Good luck.
