Sony Ericsson E-Shop confirmed to me first batch on 17th Feb, 2nd batch 24th Feb.
I orderred mine from there weeks and weeks ago and they will take £499 + shipping (about £4 if i remember) when it's in stock.
Forward celular said they had a delivery of 25 last friday for £620 sim free or £299 on contract.
It's bound to be a complete disapointment after all this ridiculous hype.

my dad works as an engineer for sonyericsson and apparantly april is the likely release date now but he said it could comeooc sooner depending on networks those of you wiv p800s now can get the uk software instalded when it comes out the physicall design is the same worldwide but apparantly the uk has the most soficticated software and advanced and more keeps being added which is why there is a delay

I just phoned cpwarehouse trying to pre order myself a p800. What a waste of time.. P8 what? That was my answer they dont have a clue.. Hope all the hype has been worth the wait...

i've not had any problems with cpwarehouse as of yet. But, whoever you spoke too should have known about this product as it's in their current brochure right at the front as a forthcoming product!

This is getting faintly ridiculous!! First it was some units before Xmas, then end of Jan, now end of Jan is within reach it's end of Feb. I would be prepared to wait a month, except they will invariably delay it again. Does this phone really exist!!?
None of this has been officially released anywhere, all we get is second had information that may (or may not) be guesswork.
If there is no UK version available by mid-Feb I'll be cancelling my order, taking a day trip to a European state where it is available and buying it there. And if it brings the UK mobile phone network down in a pile of steaming junk then so much the better...
I mean, for god's sake, 3g is being advertised on UK tv. WHAT ARE YOU PLAYING AT SONYERICSSON UK!!!!!

There is an ad in phones for sale for p8`s at about £450 "cheap p800`s for sale".
Mine came from philippines a month ago & it works a treat on UK networks.

All p800`s can be set with english language, but once done they can`t be changed back.
The p800 is the same all over BUT theres a rumour that a specific UK software will be on the UK release batch, i do not believe this.
Although i DO believe that some networks here will have it customised with startup logo`s ETC. but as they are open software phones this will be superficial only.
The delay is more likely quality control & problems with hardware suppliers, my unit has a slightly different colour battery cover to the ariel cover i`m not bothered but as a launch unit it`s a bit off.
