The P800 doesn't sync with with Notes 6. I use XTNDConnect PC to sync Notes 6 with Organizer 6. I can then sync Organizer with my P800 using the Sony Ericsson software.
I have nearly 900 contacts on my P800, some with with lots of detail. The PIM shows everything with only a few minor issues.

Hi Martin,
are those 900 contacts from your workplace? You dont actually know 900 people do you????

I won't ever hit 1000. I'm reducing them periodically. Some personal, mostly business and reference contacts.

The guy says he had over 2000 contacts.
So I guess it's dependent on the remaining memory.

Sorry, that must be a mistype... There IS the limit! I was not able to sync 2000+ contacts.
Moreover my Nokia 7650 is just syncing fine 3400 contacts! So it is might be not the limit of OS!
