Did you read that X10 will only get upto Android2.1 at XDA? If so,did that person who did that topic give/show proof of all this?
I asked Sony Ericsson, nothing past 2.1 in the pipeline at all.
I also asked if there are any plans to bring out any new MBW Blue tooth watches, nope they were discontinued and no plans to bring any more of them out either.

Try connecting over Wifi first to enable your accounts. Might be a blocked service on your telco... just guessing. This should have no effect on either service, but it just MIGHT be an issue.

I've already tried over wifi, I can log into twitter on my ipod touch but not on my X10 on either normal twitter or tweetdeck.
Sony Ericsson is a bag of crap, I'm looking forward to HTC's new Desire HD.

I've managed to get twitterdeck, twittercast etc working on the X10. I had to do a hard reset, nothing else worked. Now that it is working other things that did work before don't work, simple things like adding email accounts to email just will not connect to servers on the initial set up.
An absolute pain the X10 is.

I hope the news you heard was wrong though.
has a habit of not letting their own offices know what's next. Let's wait and see after 2.1 is delivered...

Why hope? Since when has Sony Ericsson supported any products for a lengthy period of time anyway. They can't even keep up with other manufacturers rolling out new Android versions and we are still on 1.6!!!!. A big reason why I can't be bothered with Sony Ericsson any more, their phones are just crap with no decent support.

I'm more interested in the overall even better features in 2.2 which HTC devices will offer sooner than SE ever will or won't for that matter.
Android 2.2 improvements include:
* Speed Improvement - That's a 5x improvement, the implication being that Android games and apps will run several times faster than before.
* App data backup
* Improved Enterprise / Exchange Support
* Push services - "Android Intent"
* Tethering / Mobile Hotspot
* Much faster browsing experience - V8 in browser
* New functionality in browser- Camera, orientation, geolocation
* Support for Adobe Flash and Adobe Air
* Search the Android Marketplace directly from Quick Search
* The ability to install applications on the SD card automatically
* One-button update or automatic update for apps
* The ability to stream your own music from your desktop
Then of course being able to use the latest applications.
Oh and did anyone say MULTI-TOUCH!

Yea. I did not ask you to post everything you found on the internet. What exactly are YOU planning to gain from? Speed improvement is not exactly a feature. It depends to be honest. Saving apps in your memory card is a no go. The NAND has way better B/W than a memory card and apps stored in the internal memory would run faster.
We already have Moxier in our phones which provides you with everything you need.
The others are hardly an improvement. And name me a few apps which need 2,2 and which are actually groundbreaking?

I personally believe the Single touch implementation of SE is a lot user friendly, at least with my X10 mini, you can operate the whole user interface with just a single hand ( One finger zooming ?), C'mon!! Can you do it with Pinch to zoom ??
