Before I loaded my contacts onto the P800 I had more than 1000. However, I did some pruning which was well overdue. I got it down to 850 and they loaded in 100 card batches from Apple's address book and Bluetooth file exchange with no major problems. Now my P800 does everything my old Motorola Timeport and Handspring Visor used to do.
BTW I think 850 contacts is enough for me!
