Deja vu...with a smaller battery and power hungry chip.
Ha ha. Although, I wouldn't really say battery life is an issue smaller or otherwise.

Finally my wait is over, I can replace my Galaxy Note 3 and my broken Z3 with the new Z3+.
I like the aqua green colour.

Good small competitive update. nice sony. as expected, no surprise but not a bad thing at all. actually, it is good and refreshing for marketing and international consumers point of view. no more number change and big buzz every half a year and possibly z3+ should be the last half a year update if reliable sources are right. go sony.

I just feel that the Xperia Z3+ will trail slightly behind the Galaxy S6 and LG G4 as far as camera ability goes.
Let's hope they have arsed themselves to further optimise the image quality.

I like the natural colours of the Xperia cams. I know we have been arguing about this on Esato for decades but who really looks at photos up close to examine pixels in ultra minute detail?
I certainly don't.

battery is downgraded, but definitely not as bad as I thought.

Code:
Z2
3200 mAh minimum
Talk time: up to 19 hours***
Standby time: up to 740 hours***
Music listening time: Up to 120 hours***
Video playback time: Up to 10 hours***
Z3
3100 mAh
Talk time: up to 16 hours***
Standby time: up to 920 hours***
Music listening time: up to 130 hours***
Video playback time: up to 10 hours***
Z3+
2930 mAh
Talk time: up to 17 hours
Standby time: up to 590 hours
Music listening: Up to 91 hours
Video playback: Up to 580 min
Music playback is shorter than before, could it be that it has a dedicated AMP now? Now I am more curious to see how Sony deal with the performance throttling of s810. Consider the Z3+ waterproofing means it seal tight, it will be much harder to solve than other devices unless Qualcomm really tweak the hardware itself.

I am impressed they managed to get almost 10 hours of video playback with a smaller battery.
What I would want to know is how many hours of web surfing you can get.
About the Snapdragon 810. Is it possible this is a later revision of the SoC itself with a lot of the quirks sorted?
I actually feel excited to get the Xperia Z3+.

So the difference between Z2 and Z3+ in battery size is significant.
Yes it's a good question - how much the smaller battery and new SoC will change
the screen usage time, browsing and things like Maps.
I am sooooooo happy with Z2 in this regard.
