A small cable with a male 2,5mm jack in one end and a female 3,5mm in the other end. So the adaptor won't stick out(this could also possibly break the connector on the p800 which would be disastrous!!).
The 2,5mm connector on the cable should also be angled like the original ones.

I was thinking about cutting the earplugs from the original and fit the 3,5 mm adapter to the cords comming out of the microphone/answerbutton thing. Has anybody done this? A friend of mine did this with a Siemens phone and it worked perfectly, you can use both the button and the microphone and still fit any earphone to the socket.

What I meant to say is that it does not have the connecter and then the convertor in one piece, meaning that the cable between the connector that goes into the P800 is separated from the convertor by some cable which avoids having the big bulk of a piece of connector convertor sticking out of the phone.
