t68i is an amazing phone, you'd regret the 7650. You could always try a siemens s55! This message was posted from a WAP device

Don't get me wrong, I like the phone, and it's growing on me, but I resent having to struggle with badly designed software to get my contacts and calendar from outlook.
I also got a camera free with the phone, but again this only works intermittently, sometimes when plugging the camera in, it's not recognised. Also, with bluetooth on, when charging, the blue light is on all the time, is this normal? Then bluetooth won't work untill the phone is switched of and on again.

Hmm.. I don't know what your problem with XTNDConnect is. But I just installed my bluetooth adapter (added a bluetooth serial port), installed MobilePhoneMonitor (activated the serial port in MPM), and installed XTNDConnect and it syncs perfectly (from the first time I installed it) with Outlook XP.

I changed some settings like how many weeks before and ahead of todays date it should sync. It works like a charm.

And it should work with IR or cable as well. My father used IR syncing with Outlook, and it worked the first time he installed it.

Start XTNDConnect, choose settings, choose the filter tab. Click on the "calender" item in the list on the left of that window. Now you can choose a date filter

Great thanks, I have synced several times today, and it has worked each time! also the palm still syncs to the PC over bluetooth AND talks to the phone, so maybe things are starting to get better. Now, how do I sync the Notes application?

@dkeppler, you're right SE does'nt provide instructions but i guess SE engineers want us to be smarter not to be a manual dependent. I have no problem installing the software using data cable, i guess its a self explanatory procedure. Try to explore the SW and do some experiments and who knows you may reveal some of the hidden facts and post it here. SE creates an empire for thinkers by sharing ideas.
