Found out that may some devices can not except the pro memory sticks are only old devices that can not have a software upgrade, not hardware:
'Devices can accept the new Memory Stick PRO media after being updated via a software upgrade'
And I here everyone saying the p800 wont take bigger then 128mb?? Does anyone have a valid point of WHY????

i know now that the P800 does not support any duo over 128MB in size BUT they can allways update firmware and who knows maybe the new firmware out on the 7th will add this feature and if not maybe when they bring out the 1 gig DUO they will then add this to a new firmware? it is possable

Sorry..... I do think that you are wrong. The P800 does support more then 128mb. I have read many times the current memory of the highest is 128mb is because of time of printing they do not have a bigger memory stick out. The 128mb Duo has been out for over 6 months in australia with sony new netman! You get a 128mb Duo card with the player!!! So the reason you see max is 128mb is because there is no such thing at present bigger then 128mb!
Now with the PRO memory sticks if you read the par below the one where it states that only new models will support the Pro and not older models, It says will a file upgrade some products will work! Which means all will work that can be upgraded! eg p800! cause you can install new software onto it! However if you own a TV or car stereo with memory stick this is not upgraded cause for the reason you can not upgrade the software!!!!
I have also read while some products might not be able to support the speed of the pro also, this means it will support the Pro card but not the speed, there talking about hight speed dvd recording!!!! Not p800 cant do that anyway so that is not a problem.
So...P800 will support more then 128mb, when it comes out and will support Pro with a file upgrade!!!

Your right! they only sold them seperate for only 1 week! However it came out almost six months ago with the new netman, could not buy it by itself but with the netman you could get it as a spare part!

The new netman came with 256MB built-in and the option to expand by using Duos. Sony did not, however, make any Duos available for sale.
If you want to end the debate quickly, use your P800 to take a picture of the Netman with the 128MB stick next to it and upload it where we can see it.
