When a company like nokia have such a stranglehold over the market its a big gamble to go up against them. A bit like the gamble leeds utd took trying to challenge man utd n arsenal. This message was posted from a WAP device

Don't forget though Sony took out Nintendo and Sega... I know it's not phone related but it's just a reminder of what Sony is capable of.

that goes to show that SE management and products suck big time. due to the delayed releases of their products and bad software are i think the main reasons they lost a lot of money. i also think sony did not take out nintendo (i'll grab myself a gameboy advance sp) and sega for they still exist. sony took out ericsson itself. sony is the one calling the shots in the joint venture and run it behind the shadows of ericsson top brass.

Sorry let me re-phrase Sony's PS2 has completed taken out the competition in the console market.... Sega doesn't make consoles anymore and Nintento and X-box and far far behind in overall sales... My point was that Sony was capable of getting ahead of the market in that situation which let it capture huge market share hopefully they and able to apply that strategy to the future releases. Cause teh t310 was released right on the spot and the t610 should follow suite (i hope MAy 15 right) I think that will be a step in the right direction.

The mere fact that SE is still alive despite losses proves its resiliency and deep pocket(sony).Only if it cud follow Nokia and Samsung's marketing strategy:flood the market with similar models every quarter.Perhaps then SE wud recover its red bottom line.Ericsson is the leader in telecoms equipment.Sony is the leader in its own niche.Give it more time people.care for a t610 or a z1010,anyone?:-o This message was posted from a T200

Here in Sweden SE phones sells very well. In fact the T68i is topping the sales chart of one of the largest phone companies here. On second place is the T200. Third place is the old Nokia 3310, surprisingly people still by this crap phone (it has lousy features, it's big, has crap battery times and still people buy it).

It's the second month in a row that SE tops the charts. It's strange that SE is doing so much worse in other countries. With the current phone line-up from SE, they deserve a larger marketshare. There are not any phones that can compete feature/price wise.

Hell, think diff'rent! If it weren't for Sony u wouldn't have an Ericsson phone anymore!Remember the news that said that Ericsson wanted out of the phone-market?Why is that?Cuz they had no proffit and on top of that losing great sums! Then ,what? They join-ventured with Sony just before going out of business shamefully! That's the truth..so b thatnkful that Sony is such a giant:) The only thing that they brought was money.

actually Sony 1st quarter release are badly hurt.

Not because of SonyEricsson but most of their product failed to draw buyer.

By the way, normally those SE press release will only see name of european and we seldom see japanese.

So no body knows who is taking control (Ericsson or Sony?)
unless you are working in SE london, or SE Lund.
