This topic has been discussed a few times before, I would suggest to anyone looking to find out more information on this to search through Esato.

ok yeah i really like flip phones, BUT
1. the flip of the p800 isn't really as practical to open as for instance the one on t39
2. if you call someone while having an open flip you can quite easily get the screen dirty...
3. it' s actually easier to press the ok button

if i would have constructed this phone i too wouldn't include this feature, maybe as an option.....
i mean where's the point in opening the filp?!?

it' almost unbelievable how many options this PHONE actually has but you can't expect EVERYTHING in a totally new os...

The P800 isn't a flip phone in any traditional sense, and there's a good reason why it shouldn't be made to act like one - even optionally. Flip phones have their microphone on the inside of the flip, ideally placed for your mouth - but on the P8, the open flip actually gets between your mouth and the mic, and muffles the call. You're left speaking into a piece of dumb, flapping plastic. If SE had included a "flip answer" mode in the software, you'd all be posting to complain that nobody can hear you on your new flip phone...

Right, let's start again.
Is there a program that allows you to answer the P800 phone by opening the flip and ending the call by closing the flip. That's the question, not whether SE should or shouldn't have put it on the P800 or "it's not a flip phone" I don't want to hear if you don't personnaly like it, some of us want it and I understand that some of us don't. Besides my wife still has to ask me how to answer the phone every time it rings.
Maybe I will ask the chaps who wrote Tracker to add it.

Just 'push in' the jog dial to answer\end calls, it's so easy.

Erm, maybe my p800 was a bit strange, but mine answered and hung up by flipping it...
