The important difference between active matrix (TFT) and passive matrix (STN) is that the TFT screen has a number of dedicated control transistors per pixel which makes the response time and clarity of the screen much better. A passive matrix screen has only control transistors per row and column of pixles meaning cheaper displays but less speed and contrast.

yes, P800 screen is very god, but i´m not to sure that it is a TFT!

TFT has transistors on each pixel, while STN has transistors by rows and columns. That's why TFT screens can have "bad pixels", while STN screens will have an entire row or column go blank.

Anyone here able to tell me if the T610 will have the green and blue status lights at the top like the T68i. I think these are a great feature and if they do away with them like they have on the T300 it will be a great shame.

my friend's t68i has some "bad pixles" after an accident..

If you've got a dead pixel on a T68 then it's not a display transistor that's gone but something else like the intersection between a row and a column. This must be very rare though.
