What we need is the old ericsson function! On my old S868 the diode blinked fast when I got a new sms - and as far as I remember it kept blinking untill you read the sms... Now that would be a nice P9xx feature...

SE "forgot" to include that freature in the new phones, and since the LEDs are not accessible by software, I doubt you will ever see a firmware release that does that.

ok, i confess. the latest sman v1.4 beta build has that feature. it also monitors when your network signal drops to zero. handy to tell you if an all important person is trying to reach you but can't
actually this feature was primarily meant as a reminder when u're in a noisy public place and you can't hear the phone ring or occassionally miss the vibration due to a thick handkerchief (or just a numb leg lol). but once we started using it, it became obvious when it would be helpful.
network signal monitoring does not work on the motorola phones though.

Droll - that's fantastic! Hope 1.4 is released soon (or at least a new beta that includes this function!)
Such good work deserves a voluntary contribution..... I'll visit handango as soon as 1.4 appears.

What i would like the p910 to do is to notify the user with red, blue and green lights flashing when u have a missed call or sms rather than have a repeated message every 5 mins. The notification on them right now is useless as it only lasts for a few seconds.

here in the philippines, our network provider (globe telecom) sends you sms if you have a missed call. indicating the name or number of the caller, when did you missed your call and how many times you missed a certain call. regarding the text problem... i don't have a prolem with that because ... i still use the old ericson t39m

How do you get that reminder feature to work? I can only make Sman 1.4 come up with an alarm saying I have a sms...
What I want is simply the green led to blink constantly untill I have checked my phone for what ever made the led blink - missed call or sms etc.
Is this by any chance possible in any way?¿?

LEDs seem are outside the control of applications.
They can only be accessed from the ROM.
