In Northern Ireland the is only one SE service centre, CPW in Belfast. They agreed to upgrade mine on the phone one day but refused the next day, when I called to ask how long it took. I tried to tell them that other CPW branches were doing the upgrade, but still no dice.
I agree, CPW should have a national policy on Orange upgrades, & some staff training would be nice too.

I got my Orange P800 upgraded to R2D and so has another of my friends from the CPW off Baker Street London, if memory serves me right they were the first people to do the upgrades.

I used R's Electrics in Tottenham, London. Speedy service and no quibbles with regards to it being an orange handset.

but what does your phone look like after an upgrade? - is all the orange branding / functionality gone or can you 'restore' that?
thanks, benjiP

Had a chat with one of the guys at CPW in Bon Accord Centre, Aberdeen. He had his Orange handset upgraded with the "standard" R2D and it wrecked his phone.
Apparently they are still waiting for Orange to test R2D?, seems strange if CPW in London can do the Orange upgrade ...
