I would reccommend you do both.
I find Tracker is a good app, and it definitely doesn't have any adverse effect on my battery life.
You could try uninstalling active desk first, it can't do any harm to see if there is any difference.

I've been using Handy Day for one month now and everything was ok until yesterday. B4 I get the usual response, let me clarify that I've closed all aps (using Handy Day), set my bluetooth to "off", turn connection to GSM only (so no GPRS), no backlight, powersave after 2 minutes and yet:
1)my battery is draining at 2-3% every 5 minutes without me even using it!, all gone in a few hours! (used to last 2 days!)
2) When I try to recharge or top up, sometimes my battery discharge (it has never done this before) so the battery goes faster when I plug in the charger!
What should I do?
1) change the battery (only over 1 year)
2) change the charger
3) upgrade my P800 software? does software have an impact on battery life?
All help appreciated, thanks

Maybe you can try to switch your battery with somebody else's P800 and see if he/she notices the same degraded battery performance. If you still notice the unbelievably fast battery drain on your phone with his/her battery and the phone of the other person is working just fine, the problem is probably with your phone.
I tried this (luckily I had a colleague with the same phone) and I was able to isolate the problem to my phone because my battery lasted longer in her unit. It turns out that I just need to to do an internal format and master reset to fix my problem.

Thats a good idea, only thing is I dont have a friend with a P800 (its still quite rare in Malaysia). I do have a friend with a P900 though, are the batteries interchangeable, meaning can I try out my batt in the P900 without any adverse effects?

I believe they are. The only difference between the standard batteries for the P800 and P900 is the current (in amperes) rating.
Anyone, please keep me honest here. Thanks!
