This is NOT using CSD! This is a "dummy" phone number that tells the phone to use GPRS. It's there as a place holder so your PC can talk to what it thinks is a normal dialup modem. The whole point of CSD is to avoid GPRS (either to save cost or because GPRS is unavailable or unreliable).

Thanks for the info sathomasga.. I should really read up more on this technology before I advise others I guess.
And therefore, to answer the first poster in this thread, CSD did not work for me, in terms of trying to get a free or a cheap ride. Cheating the P800 into thinking that it's dialing-up instead of using GPRS worked great for me after I had problems getting my iPaq to use GPRS..

I checked my wap accounts and found this:
TCSD (I am sure I am the one who created it). After clicking edit, it says "Internet account: Preferred (and that's my main GPRS)". That's it.
Thanks again mcouper, but it looks like you are using a GPRS connection (as your preferred internet account is GPRS).
The number TMobile provided me to get a CSD connection is +19132440821 and I actually get to the same result with your settings (*99***1#): I get a gsm connection but it is impossible to upload/downlaod anything...
I have been talking to TMobile and SE for weeks and can't get this matter resolved.

Actually by setting up a CSD connection and then using a GPRS number (*99#) to call is basically dialing right back into the phone to connect to the Tmobile service center! Which I thought maybe a way of cheating the system some how! But we will keep trying..thanks for your help!
If anyone else has anything to add on this subject, we would love to hear ya!
