But still the , n7650, for e.g. would require exacly the memory stated on the PC. weird. i guess it stores images in one format only
maybe because it has a faster cpu than the t610 , it can afford to store it in one format without sacrificing speed where as the t610 would require both formats for speedy access,
right ???

Exactly. On the P800 and Nokia 7650 you decode the images on-the-fly, which you can do without waiting too much since the processor speed is much greater. On the T68i / T610 it would take far too much time to do it this way. You can count it yourself --- just transfer a new JPEG image to the phone and go into the Mypictures to see when the image appear. I think it is about 15 seconds or so. You wouldn't like to have to wait that long every time you would like to look at an image.
Does anyone know how the Nokia 7210 6100 etc do it?
