The problem is not emulating a platform but controling the game emulated. The phone should have had a more symetric button layout / more configurable buttons. Or atleast some sort of a joypad attachment.

well the port at the bottom of the P800 is in the perfect position for some hardware company to develop a small 8 directional pad and a A and B button.... you'd just need something to supports the weight of the P800 so the stress from holding it in this way is not put on the pins of the connectors...

Just a thought but there is lots of possibilities for that ;o)

A bluetooth controller would be handy or the option of a hard connection as well, on the subject of processers and emulation you have too remember the GBA processer is optimized for gaming on a closed platform so performs to a much higher ability than a more powerful processer egP800 would you expect a 1 Ghz Pc to match the X box on games with its processer which l think is 750mhz and that has a PC architecture This message was posted from a P800

The Xbox has the advantage of a unified memory between the main processor and graphics processor, this eliminates the requirement to copy the data from the main memory to the video card. In addition, all Xboxes have the same features and code can be optimised with the knowledge that it'll work on all machines. With PC graphics cards, not all cards support the same functions and code that directly accesses the hardware would only work on one type of card.

The GBA has some custom graphics hardware, but not a great deal. I suspect that the faster processor and DSP in the P800 could probably emulate it with ease.
