Dell bios is not 100% compatiable with CLONE, so dont expect Dell machines will always works as the others. Sometimes Dells require special setting in the order to get something to work.

I would say according to your complaint, just play around with it, then you will be able to make it work.

Method of elimination and trail and errors

Working on the Dell at last but very flakey. I got the weekend to sort out the others so should be fine. And has anyone heard the music that plays on the startup screen for 3com BT installer?? Very Enter The Dragon.

I agree. 3Com BT does work, but not to the level at which I can give it to a user and expect no problems. We tried doing that last week and after a reboot the 3Com couldn't connect to the P800 without messing around with the Phone connection link settings and rebooting again.
I spent a few hours yesterday testing alternative cards in Tottenham Court Road. The nice people in Micro Anivka let me try one in two of the tablet pcs I brought in without purchasing anything (granted we will probably be buying 20 this week but nice nonetheless - PC World laughed in my face). I tried the Belkin PC Card (F8T002) and it worked first time. It creates around 10 BT COM ports, as opposed to the 3Coms 5) and once devices are paired initiating a serial connection is as simple as right clicking on the serial service and choosing connect. Bliss. Anyone thinking about buying a BT adapter, go for Belkin. Cheap and it works.
