We have had this same discussion with the T68, T68i, T300 and now T610.
The clock only comes on when you are not using the phone so I have never understood why it is such an issue.
I tell you what though, there was a recent thread on My-Symbian where P800 owners wanted a developer to make them a screensaver clock!
oh well...

Yeah this clock is a great feature, when i'm bored at school and wanna see in how much time the school will end I pick my T68i and voila I have the time .....No this clock is great

Correction: LCD screens do not suffer from screen burn. It is only to reduce battery consumption.
I dont like the clock because I cant just look at my phone to see if i have a text message or missed call.
