Would that #31# code be an international standard for all phones, network operators, or just country specific?

I would assume that for those in the UK, dialling a 141 before the number you want to call would hold back the CallerID. Not sure if this works for outgoing international calls though. Also this is UK specific.

That is a service command thus applyable to all gsm networks. The problem is that the service is at the discretion of the provider-to enable such shortcuts or not.i know it works cuz i've been using it to foreign countries. Try this:hide next call from the menu and dial the number with *31# in front.that should reveal the number.do u c the alternance? This message was posted from a WAP device
