zzarg, yeah SE are more focussed on contacts in memory rather than SIM. I never had Ericssons before SE but maybe thats historical with Ericssons just to be different from Nokia.

I keep hoping with each new phone they will allow easy SIM management too but... still hoping!

I just us a USB device that you plug the sim into and edit the numbers on the pc. can do the whole family that way.

it is so very easy to do. why do you all complain so much??

here it goes.

Enter "Phone Book"
press 8 to enter "advanced"
then press 3 to enter "position list"
now all you have to do is move the contacts name into the position you want it from 1 - 9.

Simple as ABC

then all you have to do is return to the "advanced" menu and press 4 to "copy all to SIM"

now all your speed dials will work

ps. this does no affect the way you view the names in you phone book. They will always be shown in ABC.... order

I have about 200 speeddials... Look if Nokia conquers that... remember the position on the SIM. For the 1st 9 no # is needed to speeddial. For de rest, just add a # to speeddial... So My best friend = nr 16. To dial = 16# yes....
