on my t300 it dus that. on da computer the pictures less kilo-bytes than on ma t300. dats just wot it is. why not buy a picture viewer. phones are phones, with a few extra features. there designed for personal pictures but not a bloody album. if ya soo desperate then chuck it in the bin! wot the hell can se do? make a special memory card just for ungrateful people that dont know the differnce between a mobile PHONE and a digital camera? lol hehehe

that's because you've already lived with it since you got your T300. for many of us, its a no. the previous ericsson phone i owned was T28 and it doesn't have any advanced feature. what we are discussing was that we felt cheated. don't you feel the same when you bought yout T300? i doubt you didn't grumble at all. its just like updating the firmware when you found out that your phone has a bug. don't you? you've spent so much buying such a nice phone and of course you'll feel the pain when something isn't right, or what we expected it to be!

It depends on what the image is like. Photos are smaller and better quality as jpg, drawn images are better and smaller as gif. Gif are good for (drawn) images with larger areas of the same color, jpg will make the same image look crappy, especially around edges and contours. On the other hand, gif only supports 256 colors and a photo woun't look good in such a low colordepth.
Keep this general rule in mind: drawn images, use gif. Photos and some computer generated images without large solid areas, use jpg.

Your correct, but I thought to be cleaver and get a couple of KB back on the phone and saving the Jpegs to Gifs should be the right way of doing it. But no u can't even do that. More and more I am getting put off by this phone. I like the phone, but if its not flexible enough I might as well change it for a P800.

The same thing may happen on a P800, but at least it's got 12mb of memory to play with (plus whatever mem card you have) so it's unlikely to be a problem!
