Well i have just posted mine off to Celestica. I phoned the SE Support line to check and the woman gave me the address to send it too and what i need to send. Hopefully i'll get it back on Saturday or Monday.

If it is something to do with the "can" of the screen maybe it'll fix the screen flicker, not that it bothers me anyway as its so minimal.
I let yous know how it turns out

Please do let us know how things turn out... I'm going to wait until Monday to send mine off, as I'll need it this weekend. Oh, did the person you talked to say how long the turn-around would be?

yup, she said 24 hrs (seems like they have it down to a fine art).
I'm on a temporary T-mobile sim at the moment until my number gets transferred so it won't be missed too much for a couple of days.

Bah, now I wish I hadn't sold my t68... still, got £120 for it. I guess I'll just be phone-less for a few days next week. Oh well.

Just sent my T610 off today - thought if they really are doing 24 hour turnaround i might as well do it now, so it's just the P800 for the next day or two - hope it gets back on saturday though!

hurrah! my phone just arrived back thic morning from Celestica (i sent it on Thursday- so 3 days is amazing)

The dreaded hissing is gone and ring tones are as loud as ever, and they sound quality in voice calls is top notch - i rang a lot of people to test it (not many free minutes left now).

Had a look though the phone and nothing has been deleted (ring tones, themes etc).

Also to verify that it has been a hardware fix as they have replaced the sticker under the battery that protects the screws from being tampered with (well assuming that they don't need to access the internals of the phone to turn down the amp, as that is surely a software fix, with a cable attached to the access port).

If so i'm not fussed as THERE IS NO HISSING and i can again be proud of my unbranded (sod u Vodamoan) T610

Aye, got mine back this morning, 8.30, having sent on thursday. As with you, i've got a replaced sticker, voice is perfect now, and volume is unaffected. Very happy!

Cheers guys.

You've convinced me to send mine away for a fix. I'll do it next week.

I'm going to send mine too. A few questions. Do I need to include a self-addressed special delivery envelope when I'm sending it? Will they return using a padded envelope? Do I need to call them up first before sending?

Cheers!

Answer to all three questions is NO.

They send back in bubblewrap + cardboard box (at least for me)in a citylink courier plastic envelope - delivered, surprisingly, by citylink! And no need to call them, just make sure you've got all your details down, and a reason for sending it in!
