Several mins eh, just my luck I come after that timeframe - hence the black death screen - lol!
You forgot the bit when saving names where it then asks if you wanna now create a voice command - hell no i dont, and certainly not after that many button presses!!!!! : )
Cut, paste - pls explain further.....

Cut, copy and paste can be used when you enter/edit a contact to move around phone-numbers:
Cut a number:
press and hold * while pressing 1
Copy a number:
press and hold * while pressing 2
Paste a number:
press and hold * while pressing 3

I guess the long winded way of entering contacts provided by Sony is for simple folk like me lol!
ON/OFF switch, off is simple one press - ON, is a nightmare - i tap the button, hold it down any number of times before it finally switches on - maybe its just me, and then again maybe it AINT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think we all want a high speed capturing digital camera with auto flash but thats hard enough to get on a tiny mini camera for under £100 !
Considering its quality its still above all the other ones...

U must admit, that shutter delay problem is irratating, the whole point (to me) of a nifty hideaway phone camera is capturing those cheeky suprise snaps! - and this phone just cant handle it!
It dont even have zoom - yet! - does anyone know if any firmware releases can correct the shutter lag problem - i know zoom will be corrected soon.
Any offical Sony reps visit this site, comments pls!!!!!!!!!
this forum is gonna get me in so much trouble, damn my boss is comin......

The T610 sure is cool. I used one for a couple of days. Its hard to believe how
could manage to put in sooooo many features into a phone thats almost the same size as a Nokia 6100.
But the camera is definitely is one of the weakest points of the T610. Its practically useless in the dark and low light conditions. Perhaps this is
's way of saying "please buy the flash attachment"...
In the end, however, I decided to get rid of it and guess what I have now... the one and only P800
I would highly recommend the T610 though.

got home last night and the battle began with the off/on switch again - after my 4th attempt it came on.
I sat down had a think and decided I'm gonna take this sim free phone back and get another one, this cant go on. Then I had a thought, what if i get a dreaded hissing phone..... arrgh,
so i said ill give this phone one more chance - switched it off - off it went.
Went to switch it on, held the button for 2 seconds, on it came!! - hmmm, must admit it brought a smile to my face.
Oh i dunno, it cant be a contact problem, if it goes off first time, so I guess Phil, what im trying to say is its probably to do with your explanation....
Hmmm, Sony - pls let off/on mean off/on in future! - no delay tatics (you can get too smart with these things ya know)!
the simple things in life are always the best (with the exception of intergrated cameras LOL)
