the hard part of settings on up would be getting a mobile phone connected to it to send the WAP push msgs.

I just have to fix a problem with the signup process and then I can let a few people test it.

Note that I does NOT send mms messages to mobile phones in the *normal* way - it sends a wap link as a test message

I have done some more work and research on this and there are a couple of major problems.

I will write it up and post it somewhere because it is really too long a description to post here.

Summary:

I CAN send MMS from my system to phones, emails. BUT the system is a closed group. The service providers don't like it so thay have blocked it so that I cannot send an MMS to someone with an unmodified (eg) Orange phone.

I can also save the images on a Video Blog type system. I can also send the text portion as an SMS.

I could, quite easily, provide a way to send MMS from a web page - but it would be the same CLosed Group as above.

Does that help? I will try to put up a much longer discussion later today.

I was involved in nowmms & have been plannin 2 release another free service that supports sms too, my only problem has been raising funds for a server. The software & Licensing is in place, I even have an agreement with O2, Voda & Orange about them allowin long sms support & allowin their users to use it. T-mobile talks have never been completed as they would rather customers use their T-email services.
