It's also the same problem with new siemens phones! but with them it's worse because the sound volume is already very low,so you will miss lot of missed calls,I think SE and siemens don't have the choice because perhaps health laws of Europe oblige them to do so,this crazy health searchers are real fanatics!!

This is what I like about the Z600, you do have a choice of having the option on or off. Funny thing is though, I fell asleep with my phone right next to my ear by mistake and had a really loud ringer set. When my girlfriend rang me it almost deafened me, I had to use my other ear to speak to her as the other was ringing so loud. Could have done with this feature then!

It's crap, the warning you get when you set the volume would be enough to prevent being sued. Maybe someone will code a patch to disable it. I wonT buy another phone with it on.
