can't you tell what i'm trying to say? some themes contain pictures too, but why are these pictures not occupy more memory space like the pictures in "My pictures" folder? they are all pictures, so maybe SE could resolve the memory on the pictures issue using the themes method?

The reason with wallpaper occupied more memory than actual size is because its save as raw format or something to speed up the loading time , since pics in themes does not need such speed up process, I guess that's the reason why for themes, it only taken the same memory. But if you load a theme, it actually would taken some free memory away if you noticed. Different themes would occupy different memory size when load up ! For example, if you have 800k free memory now with classical theme, when you change your theme to deep ocean or something else, you would see the free memory size change from 800k because the memory is taken away from free memory when loading theme !
