I dont agree that se handsets are fragile or flawed. I have a t28, t68i, t610 and i gave my 6 year old son as his first phone a t65. I was always nokia mad until i worked with mobiles and realised nokia seem robust because they are not as technologically advanced as se. We don't even need to talk motorola cheap plastic toys, or the smaller manufacturers like siemens, panasonic or sharp who all copy tech advances. Lets remember who's behind gprs and therefore mms - SE. Why look back to the bad old days

My old (now stolen :-() Nokia 3310 junked open at the slightest drop, but the screen never cracked...

The phones are not overly fragile imo.
I myself am not particularly careful, but maneged to NOT damage my phone sofar. I just loose 'em in my purse
like lotsa other things.
Of course it's fallen a few times, 1 time off a concrete stairway
but it's survived everything without any troubles.

But then again - i've owned heaps of motorolas. They look pretty, but they fall apart if the wind changes. Haven't had much experience with the nokias - I know the 3310 was pretty study - but then again, wasn't the Ericsson 388???
Actually dropped my T68i while trying on a jacket. Fell on wooden floor on shop, bounced back up to my leg then hit my shoe and skittled across the floor. Still working

Ive noticed that the more careful I try to be with a phone the more I drop it lol sods law innit.
Had lots of nokias that I didnt really care about (3510i, 3410) but never dropped them. But 4 days after getting my t610 i dropped it and the case is now dented to fook. luckily I got insurance and can get it replaced!

As it appears as if everyone likes to keep thier SE phones in a good a condition as possible why not protect them with a case? and if you dont want to hide the T610 behind a 'leather' case why not buy one of my PVC cases.
I have 3 to sell - they fit like a glove and don't hinder the use of the phone.
