ok, i know this will sound a bit stupid, but anywyas.
i havent checked out many t610 posts, but just saw this one.
i work in jumbo electronics (an authorized SE/nokia/samsung/siemens etc dealer along with
axiom, and some others).
we got new t610's in stock, but how do i know which week it is..
the price is 1445, but according 2 SE, the warranty is only regional - ie, buying from here
would cover Africe and Middle east region.
axiom should not be saying intl.; so just double check on that.
i know the guys from SE marketing well, so always see the new phones, hear the news etc.
lemme know if i can help..
btw, while im here...i have a qst - i can rarely log in. luckily it did this time (after
like 10 trys). it asks 4 user name and password, which i enter CORRECTLY, but just goes back
2 the same screen; doesnt show any error or anything. any reason why?!?

For checking the week, take the phone, remove the battery, and where you see the IMEI number, over there you will see something as 03W23 or 03Wxx, Where the xx will show the week number. 03 stand for year 2003, and xx stands for the week the phone was made. I was in Jumbo 2 days back and all the stock were Week 23, i doono if they have got new stock, maybe you could tell us. Also if you could tell us when are the blue and the red T610 expected
Now only if you could get me some discount when i buy my phones from Jumbo

so though the ppl at axiom say it is int'l warranty it really isn't!! thats really bad coz i'm here in kwt for my vacations and will be leaving for india next week. i've seen so many ppl come up with so many different problems on these forums and i don't wanna end up paying for the repairs of a brand new phone. but i guess i'll just have to keep my fingers crossed and get my phone from dubai coz i don't think i'll be seeing a w23 or later phone in india for atleast another month or so. could u pls confirm abt the int'l warranty thing with the axiom ppl? and didn't u tell them abt the warranty problem u had in india though u were told u have int'l warranty? what did they have to say abt that?

don't know why u have the logging problem, never experienced such a problem before.
and it would be great if could find out and let us know which week phones u have in stock. and also if u have any info on when the red and blue ones are due to arrive.
it would be great help if u could also tell me the full address of the store u work in, and also if there r any jumbo stores in sharjah.
and hey.. the discount thing wouldn't be that that bad either

1 major bad thing bout jumbo is that they always get stock late, IF they get it...so really dunno.
btw, jumbo nor axiom r the service agents here; just teh selling agents. juma al majid r the service agents; i'll double check with them once again, but i'd belive the word of SE direct anywayz!!
discounts - well, this gr8 company dont really offer anything much!
theres no fixed % staff price; its all in the system, watever the marketing guys or whoever put. on some products there is NOTHING (t610 4 example un4tunately), on others like nokia phones there a dhs 10-15 (roughly US $ 3) discount. yeah yeah i know it sucks, but still.
HOWEVER, on some stuff like the p800 theres a dhs. 200 discount...(55 us dollars).

so again, id listen 2 what SE direct told me.

could u do me one last favour... just above where u checked for the week there is the hardware version of the phone. it will be something like - R2A or R2B etc... could u pls tell me that too. coz from what i know so far a phone from w23 and hardware version r2b minimum is without any flaws and the phone to go for. pls do check that and let us know.

edit: i checked the addresses of the jumbo stores. in which store do u think i'd be probable to find the latest phones i.e. which store do u think has the maximum sales so that i can send my friend straight over there and avoid any confusions and wastage of time. thanx again.

I know Jumal Al Majid people, and they are the ones who told me its regional warranty,and thats also what i belive, but i think axiom are misguided n keep saying it has intl warranty. I was in Jumbo the otherday and i know all they have is the week 23 phones:)

Axiom are certainly B***shing if they say their warranty is international when infact, they don't provide no warranty. both Jumbo and Axiom direct you to Juma Al Majid in the UAE for ANY warranty matters, firmware upgrade included. Having said that, the salesman I dealt with at Jumbo replaced my T610 which had the crackling porblem with a new (and after this post, I checked, week 23) phone a week after I had bought it. The same guy also replaced me a new P800 after i complained of very short battery life - (I later found out the short battery span was because of a s/ware called Tracker that i had installed!!!). If i were to choose b/w jumbo and Axiom, I'd go for Jumbo - have had some bad customer service experience with Axiom
