How about this....

Ericsson MAY be having trouble with upgrading the T68m to MMS.

I cannot disclose how I heard this, as it was under NDA, but I know of an Dutch SW organization that sent all of their T68ms to Ericsson (under NDA) to get upgraded to the MMS software. Ericsson has not returned the phones, and told the company that 'they were having trouble getting the MMS software to fit into the production T68m'

Can anyone confirm or deny? Has anyone seen a original PRODUCTION T68m with MMS software in it? I have seen them (T68m/MMS) at 3GSM in Cannes, but nowhere else. Those phones may have been newer versions of the HW.

My friend has a T68m with the same hardware as me. He has the MMS software R1A.

clayb.... I have seen a couple of T68m with the R1A software with MMS support.... the new software is available, but it has been IMEI-locked, so only certains T68m phones can be upgraded....

Okay..I do not know how many times I have posted this but here it is again:

The t68m has a different file management than the t68i. This is not part of the application software it is a part of the "platform software". This means that the t68i sw will not run on any t68m without changing the "platform software" first. I notice that there is a sw flash to convert the r380s to r380e on EMMA II. What you need is a t68m to t68i conversion flash on EMMA II and then you can flash the t68i sw onto the phone. What worries me is several "official SE" answers to questions about the t68m upgrade saying that the t68m will not have exactly the same featuers as the t68i. For me that does not make sence since the hw platform is the same why have the extra cost of maintaining to different sw versions? And why the extra cost for different user guides for example?

I have seen the user guide that will be shipped with any existing t68 sold on contract after mms update available and the it is pretty identical to the i version submited to fcc in december if that makes anyone feel any better This post was posted from a T68

f**k, since the T68i in the stores. The T68i software is available in Ericsson Servicepoints, else they can't fix ruined T68i that people have bought. Therefore our software is released. It's logical.
