Yes!!! I upgraded to R1L013 and I got original SE menu back over those ugly Vodafone icons! It still has Hissing problem though

as has already been said TWICE in this thread alone... you don't download it you go to you local sony ericsson service point and they upgrade your phone there.

Hi, If i was to get the T610 on Orange PAYG, would it be possible to send the phone away to a SE service centre and have the Orange firmware removed and have it updated with the original sim-free version? Also, because you can get the phone in Red or Blue does this mean the aluminum casing comes off easily or is it fixed on? because i work in a phone shop i could swap the orange branded cover with a plain one!

They cannot remove the orange software yet. There have been some posts before and some people have managed to get a program to remove the orange customisation but that with void your guarantee. Hope this has been a little help.
