If you want your emails to use less memory, you can opt to just download the headers. And if you use pop3, marking mails for deletion will delete them from the server. (Use imap, he you just want it marked) This post was posted from a T68i

Someone who uses email frequently please help...

Tried syncronizing the email client (using imap) with my rather large default inbox, now my phone says 467 messages.

I want to clear the phones inbox, delete the 467 headers so that when new messages come in I can notice them.

Also I dont want to delete the mails off my server.

Anybody got suggestions? I dont seem to be getting very far...

create a 2nd email account with invalid username/password and attempt to use it...this will clear the current email from your phone. This post was posted from a T68i

yep changing e-mail accounts clears the inbox
