Have a friend who machine-washed his Ericsson T28 World in 60 deg. C for an hour and a half. After carefully cleaning, disassembling and drying it (NOT the battery mind you!!!) in the oven at 50 deg. C for about 24 hours he switched it back on and it worked. That was two years ago and he just recently switched to a T68i. Not much sugar in the wash though I guess...

i think u better send it to the service center quick. my t300 popped itself into a toilet bowl just before i was about to have some rectal enlightenment (which means its clean) and i just took it out and left it lying around. when it dropped in, it switched itself off, and after tt, i couldnt switch it on. 3 days later, i sent it (i couldnt bear phone tt couldnt be switched on lying around) for repair, and it came back fine, except for water spots on the screen and button 1, 4, 7, and * wouldnt light up. they said it would have been much better if i had sent it there imediately. i think the t610 will be more durable though, as the t300 has a flimsy casing.

i managed to spill some vodka on my t68 3 or 4 months ago, i cant really remember. the damage was that a small area of the screen turned dark (except this faded away over time) and the NO button became a unreliable (and it stil is) but i can live with it. anyway, phone hasn't died yet!

I dropped my Nokia 8850 in a glass of coke while talking on it once. I turned it off, waited 2 hours, turned it back on....
Never had a single problem with it. Nokia doesn't make reliable phones like that any more. Neither does anybody else. Too bad I had to retire it due to the lack of features.

I put put my T68i in the wash last year.. Was in for about 10 minutes untill with horror, I realised what I'd done... I took it out and incredibly the screen and light were still ON. I could not believe it! It was frozen on the main screen, all garbled up and the phone was soaked and covered in foam lol.. Dried it out and it kind of worked, could not get any signal though and screen went all wierd and translucent..
Died 2 days later ^_^.

When ever liquid falls into your phone you must take it to a repair center and tell the technicians to FLUX your phone or clean your phones board with 100 % alcohol.
