We have talked about this before.
I dont "measure" people from what phone they use either.
As You say, most phone-manufacturers have some nice phones in their series of models.
I'm more into features, design, service, than "name of the phone".
Some manufacturers are good at one thing, others good at another thing. And they are also on different strategies, so a lot of times, its hard to directly "compare" their models, and say which is the best.
With the 7650 and P-800, I like both, think they are quite nice, and will surely try both. I might go for one of them, but dont know which one yet.

The p800 for me, because of it's tri band features. But that's the only deciding factor as of now. If nokia released the 7650 tri band, anything could happen.
