..because when the million'th user simply can't even be bothered to attempt to look through the resource that is the Esato forum, but instead wants everything served up on a plate, it just sometimes winds the more frequent users up.

Maybe I should list here the most recurring questions...no, hang on, that'd be the.....FAQ link: http://www.esato.com/help/faq.php

Now, we're all beginners at some point, but when there's repeated posting of the same questions, answered just yesterday, repeated thread-jacking, and repeated multiple posting, it just serves to unnecessarily increase the bandwidth, fill up the forum, and make it more resource-intensive for those accessing the forum using a wap-device.

I wager that *ALL* the answers are in here somewhere; stop clogging the place up with questions, and then the answers will reveal themselves more readily....

Well they shouldn't be accessing this forum using WAP. They should be using Opera and their GPRS service!

Well, personally, I only ever access this forum via my PCs, but if I did use my wap-device (for that read P800), like when I'm abroad, after £20 worth of GPRS data, I pay for my GPRS. I also choose not to use Opera over the built-in browser, for several reasons.

The point is, many many users access this forum via their mobile (GSM = dial-up time, GPRS = data transfer), so wasted bandwidth costs most people something, and if nothing else just time.

I know this is changing topic mid-thread, but I'm slightly surprised when I hear of people not using Opera. I guess I access lots of sites with Java and so find the standard brower too restrictive.

@Little Jon

RE: Opera - I went through a phase of clearing out my P800's memory. I browse the web at work/home, but use my P800 largely for email. Not really needing Opera then, ditching it freed up a lot of space; until I hit problems, I won't go back.

Wondering if anyone can help me with this problem. I use Pjotter in tandem with Remote P800. The problem is whenever I input a letter from my computer, 2 of the same letters come out. This does not happen when I use Pjotter directly on the phone.
