thoguth you needed the relevant file downloaded to your pc before you log in
avr is the main firmware
arm is modem bluetooth gprs etc.

Cable usually labelled as T28x, and may be labelled RTM60102.
And the instructions above looks crystal clear to me. If you don't know which file(s) to flash, then you should seriously question yourself why you're doing the flash this way.

That is the WRONG cable. It's the OEM SE data cable.

I am really getting the a*** with this sonyericssonserver flashing/unlocking software. I can't get it to work. Trondo (sellers) confirmed I needed the T28 unlocking datacable so I got one and hooked everything up, pressed flash and it identified in the software that I had a T610. However, that was as far as I got because a windows error message came up on screen as follows:
"Windows socket error. A socket operation was attempted to an unreachable host (10065) on API 'connect' "
Error message 10065 means there is a communication failure between PC to T610.
I suspected the T28 datacable so I got hold of another one from a different supplier. Hooked it all up again and got the same result - error message 10065. This is really annoying to say the least.
I have not tried the "Gold" software yet to see if this makes a difference. As mentioned above, I could not find the software to download so had to go back & ask Trondo. I now have their FTP site which has all the "Gold" software plus all the latest and previous T610 firmware released for the T610 by SE which would be great if I could get the damn unlock/flash software to work first.
Once I try the Gold software on another PC I shall report back results.

You need to be connected to the internet when you run the flash program; it connects to a server to authorise your user/password. Even a modem dialup connection is fine as it doesn't transfer a whole lot of data over the internet. The actual flashing process takes a while though but you can see progress on the screen.
It took me a few goes to get this to work. I would press the flash button then it would prompt me to switch on the phone but nothing would happen. Don't hold down the power button on the phone, just press it once briefly. Eventually it recognised my phone and away it went.
