> Orange UK waiving upgrade fee?

Just rung Orange disconnections and told em i'm gona if they dont shift the upgrade fee(at least),btw,i mentioned 3g and she said they are a network,Orange wil always be Orange she said. Thats what i call DumbAss! customer services! She even said that Orange cud go 3g next month after her brain overloaded! :-D Gis a job! Even Yosser can do that! LoL ! :-D

@Phil,no mate,they wont waive it,been told to ring next month(around the 11th)but they seem to work it out each month,going by ur monthly spending. Im sick of waiting,i may 'waive' Orange goodbye,cus i aint payin £50 just for the sake of upgrading!

I was looking at that tariff y/day,the one with 500 sms a month. I'll ask Orange what the price of t610 is if i take the lowest (£15 a month) tariff on line 2. You never know :-)

got my t610 today from orange shop, v.nice pice of hardware, paid £80 for the upgrade price handset

For best deals on upgrades phone up Orange and tell them you want to leave and take your number with you. You will then be put through to Orange Customer Retention. Ask for your PAC number (this is completely free and doesn't commit you to leaving Orange in any way - only using the PAC number does that). When they ask why, tell them you are going to 3 because they offer these really good tariffs (£25 for 500 xnet anytime mins or £35 for 750). They will then offer you a similar tariff on Orange together with an attractive upgrade price for a T610. Voila! You can always switch from the tariff after 3 months if it doesn't suit you. NB: only OCR have the power to offer this tariff - it is not a generally available OVP tariff so don't try getting it thru OCS.

Orange have just announced to dealers that the upgrade fee after 12 months has been dropped.
If you're out of your 12 month contract, you can upgrade without the fee from now.

I upgrade after 1 year without fail on Orange. My Monthly bill is T610 about 1 Month ago, £80.
My advice is wait untill the contract is up then upgrade
By the way! Orange will price match any mobile phone tarrif except "3".

If your average monthly spend is under £30 Orange are unlikely to match any 3 tariffs. Simply because it will probably cost them more to keep you as a customer as normally spending
